Online: Orientation- Swannanoa Valley Rim Explorer Hiking Series

January 11 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

Join us for an online orientation to our popular SWANNANOA VALLEY RIM EXPLORER™ HIKING SERIES. This talk, hosted on zoom, will cover specifics of each hike, difficulty, and other logistics.

Now in its 12th year, the Swannanoa Valley Museum’s exclusive Rim Hike series offers 11 hikes that generally take place the 3rd Saturday of the month. Each hike covers a portion of the approximately 31 miles of the Swannanoa Rim, which runs from Jesse’s High Top, across Lakey Gap, over Ridgecrest and Montreat, up to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and down to Cedar Cliff above Camp Rockmont. The hikes are led by experienced hike leaders who are also extremely knowledgeable about the history, topography, and ownership of the land. The series is recommended for experienced hikers as several hikes are strenuous. More information…

Location: Online. Registrants for the 2022 series will receive a link to the zoom meeting ahead of time. Please e-mail svmhikes@gmail.com with any inquiries.

Covid Policy: Proper mask wearing over the nose and mouth and social distancing are required.
