Museum staff in conjunction with the Museum’s volunteer education committee of retired educators can create a tour tailored to the classroom/grade-level curriculum or offer a general tour of Swannanoa Valley history through the museum galleries. Please call us at (828) 669-95or email svmvolunteer@gmail.com to schedule a tour.
These boxes can travel to your classroom (with or without a Museum staff member) at no cost. Each box contains activities and materials tailored to meet North Carolina’s educational standards for each grade level.
Do you have an idea for a box related to local or regional history that you’d like to use in your classroom? If so, let us know! Our education committee would love to help.
